Day 1
Arrival ( Guwahati – Shillong)
Welcome on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Station and transfer to Shillong (130 KMS / 3 hrs drive). Enroute visit Umiam Lake – created by damming the Umiam River in the early 1960s.
Check in and overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
Day 2
Cherapunjee Excursion
Morning enjoy breakfast and then set out on an excursion trip to Cherrapunjee (60 Kms / 2hrs one way). It is the traditional capital of the Nongkhlaw hima (Khasi tribal chieftainship) known as Sohra or Churra. Visit Dwan Syiem view point, Noh Kalikai falls, Mawsmai caves, Seven Sister falls, Eco Park etc. Later drive back to Shillong.
Day 3
Shillong local sightseeing
Full day Local sightseeing in Shillong including The city’s own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating. The Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants & rare collection of orchids. Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with stretches of roses & exquisite flowers. One of the largest Golf courses in Asia is an 18 hole Golf Course that is charted amidst a surging valley full of thick pine groves & rhododendron trees. The State Museum is a display of the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya (closed on Sunday). Shillong and its surrounding is dotted with splendid waterfalls cascading down deep valleys forming misty sparks as they break the silence of the surroundings. Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks. For the Bird’s eye view of Shillong, one can take a stand at Shillong Peak. Day 4
Transfer to Guwahati
After a leisurely breakfast check out and transfer to Guwahati (130Kms / 3 hrs). Situated on the South Bank of river Brahmaputra this is the largest city of Assam, a major riverine port city and one of the fastest growing cities in India. Many ancient Hindu temples are in the city, giving it the name “City of Temples” the most important being Kamakhya Temple. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Guwahati Local sightseeing
Morning starts the Full day sightseeing in and around this capital city of Assam , covering Kamakhya Temple – Situated on top of the Nilachal Hill, Maa Kamakhya Temple is the most sacred among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world; Balaji Temple, State Museum, Navagraha Temple – dedicated to the nine planets located on the top of Chitrasal Hill, Umananda Temple on Bhasmachal – a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island – smallest inhabited riverine island in the world , Sankardeva Kalakshetra – is a cultural institution in the Panjabari area, named after the medieval poet-playwright and reformer Srimanta Sankardev.
