Quick answers about Kashmir travel, prices and the best time to go.

What are the best places to visit in Kashmir for the first time?

For a first Kashmir trip, Srinagar, Dal Lake, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg are among the most popular choices. Tourists with additional time can include Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Betaab Valley and Aru Valley.

How much do Kashmir tour packages cost?

Our Kashmir packages start from ₹11,199 per person for the 4 nights / 5 days Kashmir tour. The 5N/6D Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gulmarg tour starts from ₹13,500, the 6N/7D Srinagar–Pahalgam–Gulmarg tour from ₹19,300 and Kashmir with Vaishno Devi from ₹23,950 per person. Our 6N/7D Ladakh tour starts from ₹23,950.

How many days are enough for a Kashmir trip?

A 6 to 8-day Kashmir itinerary is suitable for covering the major destinations comfortably. Five days can work for a shorter holiday, while 8 to 10 days gives tourists more time to explore offbeat destinations and enjoy leisurely stays.

What is the best time to visit Kashmir?

It depends on the type of holiday. March to June suits sightseeing, gardens and honeymoons; October to November brings golden Chinar colours; and December to February is the season for snow, particularly around Gulmarg.

Which is better for a honeymoon, Gulmarg or Pahalgam?

Both are excellent, but they offer different experiences. Gulmarg is ideal for couples interested in snow, mountain views and adventure, while Pahalgam is better suited to couples who prefer peaceful valleys, rivers, forests and scenic sightseeing.

What is the best time to visit Kashmir for snowfall?

December to February is generally the preferred winter period for tourists seeking snow, particularly around Gulmarg. Actual snowfall and road conditions vary from year to year, so checking the latest weather and local conditions before travelling is important.

Is Kashmir suitable for a family holiday?

Yes. Kashmir offers a combination of sightseeing, nature, comfortable accommodation and activities suitable for families. Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg are particularly popular with family groups, although activities should be selected according to the age and comfort level of children.

How do I reach Srinagar?

Srinagar Airport is about 15 km from the city and has flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai and Pune. You can also take a train to Jammu Tawi and continue on the Jammu–Srinagar Vande Bharat, or drive about 850–880 km from Delhi via NH-44.

What should tourists carry for a Kashmir trip?

Tourists should carry comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a warm layer even during shoulder seasons, personal medicines, sunscreen, sunglasses and essential travel documents. During winter, proper thermal clothing, gloves and waterproof footwear are particularly useful.
